Nine kabaddi players died in a road mishap at Suarapali in Sundargarh district on Saturday. The accident took place when the mini-truck they were travelling in, lost its balance and fell down from a bridge. 21 people from Sendhapur were returning from Dhudi Gaon after playing a kabaddi match. Three people died at the spot while six passed away later during treatment. Odisha government has announced Rs.1 lakh ex-gratia to the family of those killed and the injured people will be treated at free of cost.
